Calling all TK-12th Grade Students!
For all TK-12th Grade Students who live in Claremont or attend Claremont Unified School Dsitrict Schools.
Directions: Using traditional (paint, colored pencils, pastels, markers, pen and ink, crayons, collage, etc.) media or digital computer-generated art methods, create your original interpretation of CEF’s 2019-2020 theme “Education is Our Superpower!” on a legal size piece of paper (14” wide x 8.5” tall) or tabloid piece of paper (17” wide x 11” tall). The winning piece will be displayed on Claremont Educational Foundation’s yard signs throughout the city of Claremont during the run of the 2019-2020 annual campaign.
Who Can Enter: This contest is free and open to all children in TK through 12th grade who live in Claremont or attend Claremont Unified School District schools.
Submissions: Entries can be submitted to your CUSD school office with attached form or emailed as a high resolution (300DPI or more) JPG or PDF to firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday, October 11 2019.
Timeline: Contest is open September 1 – October 11, 2019. Winner will be announced by October 31, 2019.
Prizes: Grand Prize – Your artwork displayed on yard signs throughout the city of Claremont during the run of the 2019-2020 annual CEF fundraising campaign, a certificate recognizing you as the grand prize winner, and shout outs on the CEF website and social media.
Second Prize – A certificate recognizing you as the recipient of the 1st honorable mention and shout outs on CEF website and social media.
Third Prize – A certificate recognizing you as the recipient of the 2nd honorable mention and shout outs on CEF website and social media.
Dimensions: 14” wide x 8.5” tall (legal size piece of paper) or 17” wide x 11” tall (tabloid piece of paper)
Disclaimer and Rules: Yard signs are provided to all Claremont Educational Foundation supporters who donate $365 or more during an annual campaign year. No purchase or donation required to enter the contest. The Claremont Educational Foundation board of directors will select a winner based on originality, the appropriateness of the art in relation to the theme, and adherence to CEF’s mission to protect and enrich quality public education in Claremont. All decisions are final. All submissions must be 100% original artwork and submitted as flat, two-dimensional artwork for ease of reproduction on signs. Any submissions that include potentially copyrighted content will be disqualified. Winner and runners up will be informed via phone call or email within 24 hours of decision. All submissions must be suitable for all audiences. Claremont Educational Foundation reserves the right to reproduce all submissions in any media, for any purpose, at its discretion. Entrants may reclaim artwork by contacting Claremont Educational Foundation after winner announcement.
